Is polyurea the same as polyaspartic?
They're closely related chemistries. Polyaspartic is technically a type of polyurea coating with slower reactivity, which gives installers more working time while still curing far faster than standard epoxy. In practice, both offer similar durability and UV-stability advantages over epoxy.
Is polyaspartic more expensive than epoxy?
Polyaspartic systems typically cost more per square foot than a basic single-part epoxy kit, but the faster cure time, better durability, and UV stability generally make it a better long-term value — especially for garages and outdoor concrete.
Can polyaspartic be applied over an old epoxy floor?
